Maurice Frazier has been telling stories since the sixth grade — long before he ever stepped onto a professional set. What started as creative writing in an English classroom quickly evolved into scriptwriting, sparked by a teacher who recognized his voice and pushed him toward it. That encouragement lit a fire that never went out.

Born in the Bronx and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Maurice carries a rare duality: the grit and urgency of New York City with the warmth and charm of the South. That blend shapes everything he creates. His voice is authentic, dramatic, emotionally grounded — rooted in lived experience. Drama doesn’t just interest him. It runs in his veins.

After earning his BA in Communications from Pace University in New York City, Maurice immersed himself in the media world, interning at PMK BNC, a local NBC affiliate, 20th Century Fox Film Distribution, and “Live with Regis and Kelly.” It was there, watching the writers shape stories in real time, that he recognized what had always been true: writing wasn’t just something he enjoyed — it was who he was.

In 2015, Maurice broke into the television industry as an Office Production Assistant on Season 3 of Power. He didn’t just take a job — he built a career. Working his way up through Girls, Succession, Odd Mom Out, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Power Season 4, he learned every layer of production from the ground up. By 2017, he stepped into the writers’ room as a Writers’ PA for Power Seasons 5 and 6, eventually relocating to Los Angeles. There, he found his rhythm — pitching ideas, breaking story, drafting scenes, and mastering the collaborative heartbeat of television.

He went on to serve as Writers’ Assistant on Generation (HBO Max), Intercepted (Starz development), and Mike (Hulu), refining his craft at the highest level of premium television. In every room, Maurice brought more than skill — he brought perspective, work ethic, and emotional intelligence.
